Yank the motors put in the new 1100 tt and put a full sun pad on drop the price to 175k and call me.
Hey I can dream cant I.
Those motors are what kills it for me though, that boat has running the Bahamas and other long runs written all over it but just can't with them.

50 hour rebuilds are the problem, so a 2 week trip in the Bahamas would eat up most of that and cost me $50k to rebuild them. Plus they need 91 oct. fuel or higher, could remap to 1025 for lower oct. fuel and if I don't run it real hard push it to 75-100 hours but your asking for it at that point. The 1100 TT will go 300 hours easy and runs on 87, to refit with Diesel's you would need two huge heavy ones or redo the whole boat to run 3 like they would have from the start. Would be better just to get another boat at that point. The new Merc. TT are the way to go if you want performance and reliabilty with a long life span, there isn't anything wrong with the 850,1025,1075,1200 they are just more older tech. race motors that need more care.

I had no idea you only got 50 hours out of them, that's nasty. The TT's are nice, but a pair of them and the M8 drives would cost a pile of loot. It would be one awesome boat though! Although, it's a pretty sweet boat as is.
Thanks for the input, I had no idea the 1075"s where so hard on parts!

They do NOT need 50 hr rebuilds...
I do not know anyone that rebuilt their 1075s every 50 hrs...
When I worked at Cigarette the AMIII boat got run at poker runs and demos all summer long with only one simple valve adjustment and oil changes...
We sold that boat and the next owner put 100 on before sending them to merc for the refresh..
The key to these 1075s is fresh oil and valvetrain maintenance...

Unless they changed the rebuild hours when from when they came out it was valve check and oil changes every 15-25 hours, top ends at 50 and total rebuilds at 100. Most of the builders I talked to said they still wanna look at the bottom end at 50 but it might not need much. Also there are better parts out now you can use so you could stretch your time I am sure since most are not racing it. It's an awesome boat no doubt and if you can get good fuel and don't wanna live on it for couple weeks at a time like I do it's a great deal. Not bashing it at all just not the power for me.
