Does anyone here know the history on this 42 Leagacy? http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/21089
Did OL build 42's with a bustle or did someone completely rework this boat?

For what ever reason, when I go to the website where the boat is listed, I can only see half the page vertically, so I only see half of the description. If you can see the full description, please copy and paste if you don't mind.

similar paint scheme as the old Bacardi silver 36??? after they cut the cockpit ...not a surprise seeing as Nauti Marine did re-rig...I assume their rigging is top notch?

To each there own but I think that takes away from the lines of the 42. But impressive work for sure.

I saw the boat at LOTO several years ago. They did an incredible job rebuilding it. It had a fire that started in the engine compartment and spread into the cockpit before being extinguished. You would never know it and everything has been rerigged 1st class. It is a lot of boat for the money and definitely one of a kind.

Sick Stinger 01-29-2014 11:54 AM

It maybe brand new rebuild but:
1 it will always have a story to go with it. That will affect buyer and price weather you feel it's justified or not
2 still an 01 for way to much money seeing as it the non epoxy build of 06? I believe they started.
3 there are much better buys less then that and you get more boat for the money.
Playing devils advocate just stating facts

Enough 4 Play 01-29-2014 06:09 PM

Epoxy builds started in 04. You are hard pressed to duplicate the power, drives, trannies, exhaust and rigging for $210k. If somebody is serious the boat definitely deserves a look in person.

That boat is beautiful. I'd be looking at it if I was in the market, especially considering who did the refurb...

I agree, a lot of boat for the money and you pretty much know what you're getting as it has very few hours since the rebuild. I know now from experience that some of the "deals" out there are not that great once you start paying to have stuff repaired/replaced/updated etc.

Enough 4 Play 01-30-2014 12:05 PM

Experience, been there done that, is a wonderful thing

SLOWRIDE-388 01-30-2014 04:55 PM

So true.

It is a sweet boat. Got to see it quite a bit when our 42 was at Nauti in 2010.

nate 01-30-2014 06:43 PM

the refurb looks top notch, beautiful boat. What did it look like before? Anyone have pics?
