So around $300k? I was just curious as I was looking at the cost of a new Phantom to compare the two. I'm not trying to start anything and can appreciate the success of the boat and team. I know what it takes as I raced F1, B, Super V and P3 in the past.

You can put a VALUE... but not a price...

In general if someone has to ask, they are on a budget, and if they are on a budget, then this class of a boat and advanced technology is not for them.

Sun print, went out and designed a new boat and could not come close to this OL... even with the officials slapping the team with parity over and over... The last time that the owners of the SunPrint was competitive was over 6 years ago, before Doc/ Brian showed up with the Fountain SVL.

The boat, trailer, (without power) would cost in excessive of $300k to put together with no R & D and power. It clearly set the bar high.. and to high for Sunprint and the other new fountain in the field...

This boat, the pair of fountains, and the new sunprint... made everyone that owned a phantom to be an obsolete boat anchor

Really?! It's a boat. Worth noting more than what someone is willing to pay for it.

And further more not accusing anyone but these boats are all far from out of the box. They blue print bottoms, no drive is exactly the same, props are all different and yes there are people out there running cheater motors in the class.

Not to mention the last fountain for this class was built in maybe 08 or 09? That's an old boat and old technology. Bottom lime fountain had their day and now it's over outerlimits is now lead v bottom builder.

I think the 29 will be a thing of the past in my opinion. They will be collectors items.

Actually "Absolutely Not" is a newer Fountain(2012 I think). Not built be Reggie, but the parent company that took over. The Watch Your Back/JD Byrider Fountain was built in 08 or 09. Those are the only 2 Fountain SVL's out there.

If anyone pays $300K for that boat they are an idiot. Yeah, you may win some races, but you ain't gonna make up the difference in prize money. I'm guessing a new phantom or extreme would be in the $150-175K range. The new Rage is going to come in less than that I believe. That boat may surprise some people on the course this season...

NO ONE in boat racing is doing it for the prize money, no matter what you buy or run, you will never break even. (I say this from observing, not being one of the actual runners)

It is about being best at what you do and saying I won! Money is just what it takes to get you to the best equipment, then it takes skill and knowledge to win!
