2002 Stiletto - 100K???
Does anyone know the story on the 2002 Stiletto that seems like it's being given away @ 100K? I can't recall exactly when Ted Link sold it (couple of years ago I think), but at that time, he had it priced in the 170K range as I recall. Not that it sold for that, but 100K for it now seems like a steal! It was in perfect condidtion when Ted had it, so unless it has been trashed, the price doesn't make sense. A clean #6 37 with what looks to be good reliable power for 100K.....I don't get it.
With that said, I've read some negativity about the quad stepped 37's, but it was just that, reading it on here which may or may not be accurate. Anyway, that seems like a lot of boat for 100K! http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...rm-o61465.html |
Priced to sell. There's some 42's going for 100 and a half . From what I've heard should be driven by someone with some experience but still a hell of a boat.
|
Priced to sell. Ill say.
|
Seem like a heck of a deal to me too. He dropped the price form 125k last week.
He also has a 42 listed that is priced to sell. http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...rs-o60543.html |

Even if it was, hands down no question I'd buy this before a 525 bravo top gun for 100-120k. People are asking almost thT much for similar year fastechs with 500's or 525's seems like a no brainier if you're budgeting around 100k

15 year old, 35 foot boat with 300+ hours.... not to mention a suspect hull. Really has to be stretching for this one. whatever someone is willing to pay, I guess. $100K? lol

42 seems like a better deal.

Do you know what KE 1100's are worth?? How about what SSM6's are worth??? The engines and drive lines alone are worth 80k. Please enlighten the masses about how you base your reasonings. Tell us what actual experiences you have. BTW its 13 years old and 37 feet. |

The only issue I see with this boat is the quad step bottom and some folks might not be interested in the big power... but either way it's still a great deal at $100K!!! |

It seems like a no brainer for anyone in the $100k range looking for a premier boat unless there is an issue. Not sure there is a better deal out there. Excluding a catastrophic engine or outdrive issue, putting money in it your still ahead of the game.
|
How much to fill in 3 of the steps? Lol

anyone picked this boat up yet?
|
Ted had the 37 freshened up in every way , motors , drive , ect . He told me she didn't handle well when it got up into the teens . Ted gotten a price to redo the bottom at one point to help with the high speed issues . He sold the boat before doing that . That was the last I had heard until it came up for sale .
|
If a 100k is your buget I would seriously consider spending a little more and take look at some 42's. Unbelievable riding hull and it can handle some monster power.
|

I've got a 97 Stiletto with trips for sale for 70k if that helps put the 2002 100k boat value into perspective. Mines a 6.5/10 whereas his is a 9 or 10. Think mine is priced fair. Its fast :)
|
That price is unbelievable put more than that into mine and it started off as a clean fresh water boat, and its still only 90-95 mph with BRAVO'S, someone's getting a deal.

Couple 42's for a bit more. Just saying if you have a 100k to spend there's a good chance you could up the ante a little more for something with a much better reputation than the quad step. 100k is without a doubt a lot of money don't get me wrong. If 100k was your absolute limit then yes that 37 is a great deal. Just my 2 cents

That boat eats parts plus it handles poorly above 100 it has to much lift. It is a pretty boat.
|
Turn them down to 800's and call it a day
|
Thinking the same thing someone buy this thing already or mines going up for sale and i'll buy it. I'd b ok going 110 in that for 100k
|
If it's unstable over 100, just run it at 95. Keep rpm's lower and reliability solves some of itself. 95 keeps you well out in front of most in poker runs, and you're only running that a small percentage of the time.
I heard a number of years ago that some triple 37's were a little unstable around the 95-105 range or so, but above that were fine. Maybe the key is adding more HP and getting past that 110 hump. Maybe it smooths right out at 140. Problem solved.?.?. |
No experience with the quad step.....but mine runs like it's on rails....at any speed...all in the setup.
|
So who bought this? Noticed the ad was down...
|
I missed the ad, was it originally Olivers boat? If that boat was 100k def a steal.....
