Anyone know how much of a difference there was in the actual running surface between the current SV and SL's compared to the GTX series of hulls?
Is there a noticable difference in their handling and top end with the same power? Thanks in advance...

Hopefully someone from OL answers your question better but I believe the original gtx models were based on the 42 legacy hull and the 47 stiletto hull? Not sure if the SL and sv models were completely new designs or not.

SV and SL's are 5 step hulls, they are more efficient than the 4 step hulls on the GTX's and 42Legacys . so a 47 or 51OL w 1075's probably runs 108-110mph and a 52SL w/1075's runs 120-122mph. Also the 4step hulls before 2005 were heavier boats. 2005 and newer are epoxy boats that are stronger and lighter
