Default Thoughts on this 37

Looking for some honest thoughts on the blue 2001 37 that is listed on Facebook and powerboat listings. It was listed here but expired I believe. Appears to be in good condition. Interior looks dirty. No engines. Add says complete minus engines. It does have dry sump 6's. Asking $85k. I know that the used boat market is strong but how about the project boat market?

Its been listed every which way with various drive, trans power combos for about 6 months and has not sold.
It was on ebay and had 1 bid at 70k with no reserve so not sure what happened on that. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Outerl...QAAOSwLKxf2Oyq

I was looking at it also to possibly flip, decent power to pull those #6's will be in the 70-80K range, and I dont think its a 160K boat, jmo

There’s no way you can be in that boat “right” starting off at 70k with no power. You have to want that boat and understand that you’re upside down right away. The one at pbc for 99 seems like a fair deal

Ok, so I'm not crazy. I watch the market like a hawk since I'm not sure what our next boat will be. I don't want to be way upside down like the last boat but don't expect a steal either. A big unknown is the health of the drives. Rebuilds will put you upside down quick so my offer may be laughable to him because I'll expect that they will need rebuilding.

He wouldn’t move off the asking price of the 42 he had in much worse shape than that 37. And he’s very tough to get in touch with

That 42 was destroyed. It needed a ridiculous amount of work.

Found out tonight that a friend purchased the 37 and it’s headed for loto. Getting some healthy mills installed.
