Did Laz rebuild your old engine, or is that new?
Which drive are you running again?
We should be running around the same speeds!!!

Mark,

Damn I can tell your just a little bit anxious, you didn't even bother to take the plastic off before you snapped a pic.

Whats your ETA? Let me know if you could use a hand.

It a fresh mb500 from laz -- he took two on trade with less than 80 hours on them -- he completely redid one of them and i bought it. So with the exception of my alternator, exhaust and power steering pump -- its all new to me.

I'm running a TRS drive with a beefed up merc II tranny.

Hey Storm -- what speeds are you seeing? last year i was at about 72 with just at 500hp

AE -- yep i am anxious!!! I'm going to try and get it in this friday but more likely it will be next week. Thanks for the offer I will keep that in mind!

I hope to be out soon boating with you! (we need to make end-to-end lake run with the panteras!)

Mark,

Mine's not in the boat yet. I was running 64.7 w/ a waterlogged 454mag.
so maybe i was seeing 310hp?
Your engine makes more torque much lower down(more CI).
I'll start w/ a 24"b1 prop and see how she runs.
I'm hoping to break 80mph.

I should be in the water in a week. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Chaos, I just switched my boat to a Bravo from the TRS and have the II tranny if you need any TRS stuff cheap. Your boat should run really well with that motor. Good luck
