Ron, You will be alot warmer trailering up to the river.
Like Chris said, the ramp is right under the I-95 bridge that goes over the river.
Exit 67, take a right, then quickly get in the left lane. Left at the light onto route 1 north. Route 1 north will lead you back to 95 but just bare right past the on ramp. The road will bend around past 2-3 marinas then under the bridge. The boat launch will be on your right. It is about the best ramp you could ask for. 4 boats at a time and plenty of parking. It will take you about 1hr 15min from Milford.
5-6 boats, that I know of, will be launching there for the run.

"We said we're going boating , Mother nature says no freakin' way .
I just got back from looking at the river and it hasn't receded at all .
I talked to a meteorologist and he said he wouldn't make plans for this weekend .
So..... The 2005 CT River Run will be postponed .
It will probably be moved to Oct 22 , or possibly Oct
29 . This will be decided by Fri. , Oct 14."

anyone interested in going to new haven/branford?
run the harbors, screw around inside the breakwater?
a short run to branford would put us at a cool "luncheon venue" (sam's at the brewer yard, up branford river...)

i'll do it, maybe we could liven up the thimbles (the island chain in branford)...or run to that wing place....archie moore's.. in milford....
...if the weather gets too foul, it's only a short hop from ramp to ramp and port to port..

T-Mone and I are in. We were going to try Saturday around noonish or Sunday. Saturday will be warmer 68. Sunday only around 60. We were going to drop the boats in in Milford. What do you guys want to do?

Please don't give up on the CT River Run!
It will be rescheduled...

Unfortunately I'll be trailering the boat to Florida the last week of October. I also have friends coming in on the 22nd.

Have to wait until next year.
