Winter Upgrades?
#1
Anyone else besides MiamiBoys doing any upgrades?
My engine is in the garage ready to go to the dyno. After a baseline, I plan on tearing it down, installing Jessel Shaft Rockers, larger injectors, and a custom ground cam that was done by Marine Kinetics. Maybe then I'll be at the 648HP that my previous dyno sheet said!!
A true 650 HP should get me in the mid 70's with my 28.

I've been stripping mine down for a complete redo. all cosmetic no mechanical. The gel coat work should be done in about 7 weeks. Repowder coating all the accessories, all new guages, new dash panels & switches, throttle controls, and of course engine pretty stuff from Fred. Oh yea ,I'm rebuilding the carb also.
Kirk, post some pics.

yep, sure is. I bought it back in October. It's turning out to be more of a project than I thought but that's how "projects" are. I'm having to reglass the outdrive hole and move it a little. I'll take pictures as I go and make a new thread. I'm still hoping for an early spring launch.

Duunoit, looks like a cool ride. What are you doing for pwr?
The winter should go by better with different "project" threads. I'll start mine soon after a few more pics are taken.
Storm what's next?

The plan is a 540 about 625hp...
I've got some other stuff that I need to get rid of first. I've still got plenty of work (fiberglass and rigging) that I need to do to keep me busy until I can get it.

Chris, I always thought that was a cool ride. Best of luck getting it up to par.
Tom, nothin on the burner but 2400sq ft of construction(addtion).
So I guess I'll hang around giving worthless (boatless) input.
