Ok, I believe they are Corbeau. They look like an automotive racing seat. I wonder how comfortable/uncomfortable they are.

Is it a common practice to use seats like this in a racing boat?

Ya know what... on second thought, using the auto seats in the boat would be a good idea, especially if you want them black. You could get them in cloth, which would grip you better and not get hot.
But fabric and water don't go together too well.
They could be sparco seats.

Here is a picture of the padded cockpit and race seats. We mounted them on custom aluminum powdercoated bases.

I will try and get better cockpit photos in the next 1 - 2 weeks. These pictures were taken while the boat was being put together and do not represent on how nice everything turned out.We also made a custom center pod for the Livorsi billett throttle and shifter and brought both seats together in the center of the cockpit.GPS was mounted directly in front of the driver for easy viewing since in P5 class you can not run over 72 MPH on GPS.

Ignition switches, gauges, trim switches, GPS, throttle, and indicator panel were all layed out for an easy reach and very comfortable while running.

Seats are quite comfortable.

We made a custom race hatch for it with double intake naca ducts. This pictures was taken while the naca ducts were being glassed in.

I like the pod w/ the trottle in front of the shifter. This is much better.
In a side by side configuration, one person will have to reach over the shifter to throttle.
