Its around 20 % its high for our weight being only a single . 750 hp will take you 83-84 mph at 5900 witha true blade of 26 pitch hope this helps.

Brian , you are on the money with those numbers , it takes 5800 and a 26 pitch for me to see 80 mph with my 28 pantera .

Thanks guys & yes that does help. I had a good idea that it would take 750 hp to see a real low 80's. These heavy conventional deep V's take big power to go but when they do go they are hard to stop ! I no longer have a 28 Pantera & now have a 28 Saber & that is what I am asking for. There are no big power single's out there for me to compare to & I knew that a 28 Pantera would probably be my best comparision & I knew my pantera brothers would be glad to help out. My boat should come in right around 4900-5000#. Thanks again for the info & I will give you your thread back now. By the way Congrats on the sucssesfull upgrade.
