Thumbs up

I have put skeg guards on all the boats that I owned. I like the nice clean look and it also adds a little more length that helps to protect the prop.

I've seen a couple of 24s with P3 on them (the ever appreciating 1994 OB 24 in Newport for example). Did they change the class designations recently. Seems like P3 now are SVL boats.

It doesn't take away from how nice this boat is by any means!

I am not saying that, it is a very nice boat, one that I wouldnt mind owning myself, but at 67MPH, it should be in P-5, it takes a heck of a boat to run P-3(like a 41 Apache with 1100's). I painted mine with the numbers block, but I wouldnt put P3 in there, maybe P5, but instead it is just getting P-24(for pantera 24) for now, until I decide to rig it with twins and go racing.

Rick, I wasn't saying you were riding the boat down. I was agreeing with you that it seems funny that there are a number of 24 Panteras sporting P3 on the bow. I just wanted to make sure people realized that I wasn't riding this boat down. Nice boat. I was confused as to the numbring because the P3 boats I've seen all look like heavy hitters.

Sorry for the minor hijack!

OK, just a misunderstanding, not sure of the current rules, but it used to be 65 MPH average lap speed for P-5, I believe it is 72 max speed now, but still, P-3 is at least 10MPH faster, and that is under race coditions, usually in rough water, Scott had a heck of a time with his 24 in P-5, with a LOTTTT more power, I drove his 24 in a race in flat water thru the bridge in marathon, and although the speed was there, my balls werent, just saying, P-3 is a stretch for a 24. I love the look of the numbers on the side, but personally, I would change it out to something more realistic.

Guys,

The numbers are on the boat are for display only, this is not a race boat, and never raced. I had the numbers put on to dress up the boat. Thanks Jeff

Thats Cool,

Like I said, I like the looks of the numbers, just think it would look a little more realistc with P5, or P4, sorry for the rant, but at least we are keeping your thread at the top.
