moviemoney 06-23-2007 01:28 PM

no pics yet, but soon to come ...Bearni, she is all that some very small things to tend to but come on its an 2002 with 50 hrs . I think the biggest grip I have is that the carpet is black and the foot rests were an after thought, so who ever put the foot rests in put them ovever the snap in carpet...in other words I can only roll the carpet forward cant take it out.Oh one other she ant gots no tunes. So now I have to make a swim step I have a friend who owns a machine shop, He saw what I want and can do it for me real real real cheep.New carpet and some killer tunes , then she will be perfect.

What up D !! Gotta love optimism & people with alot of faith ! After much intense thought I am considering droping the twin small block thing & powering it with a single 4.3 V6 out of a 93 S10 pickup & an ASD 12. :p

littledcsrodshop 06-24-2007 04:58 PM

Movie $$ Glad to hear you are enjoying your Pantera ! I just got in from running mine ( & ofcourse now a portion of the new owner to be ) & it ran like a champ all weekend long. It won't GPS 87 but it is still a great boat to say the least. Like I said glad to hear you love the boat & I hope you continue to enjoy it as I am sure you will.

As usual ldcsrshop, you lead the innovation pack! Maybe a pair of "iron Dukes" would provide some thrills!

GIT-ER DUNN !!!

Dude! Sweet! 06-25-2007 12:13 PM

Rocket blocks with Duttweiler turbos would wake up those little sixes! Didn't Conte get one of those to run something like 850hp in thier GTP car?

JO - PANTERABOATS 06-26-2007 05:58 PM

Glad to hear that Rocky. If you need anything for it just let me know. Now take it out in the Ocean !!!

Regards,

JO

moviemoney 06-26-2007 11:33 PM

onesickpantera 09-06-2007 01:21 PM

Did moviemoney buy the all white 28 with twin HP500s that was CLEAN?

Stormrider 09-06-2007 01:22 PM

ya, from NJ.

Dude! Sweet! 09-06-2007 04:23 PM

I talked to him a couple months ago and he had some plans to "Havasu" it up a bit... Haven't heard anything since. I'm hoping that when I got out in a month or two I'll run into him.

I'll admit I'm a bit green eyed, by that 87 mph number with stock 500s!

Jo said he has gotten one up to 92mph with twin 500efi's

So.................why don't you sell me your boat and buy the old Cherry Bomb boat with twin 500EFI's. I'll bet you can get it for $50K.

tomcei 09-06-2007 05:04 PM

If you get your 28 to upper 80's not to mention 90mph then you definately have a fast boat.... IMHO
I don't care if it's a single or a twin.
Of course, if it's a single then you should receive a High Five

Dude! Sweet! 09-06-2007 05:07 PM

You'll get a high five from me if you're running in the 90s with a single. That's for sure!

Andy, you don't want to pay to store my boat all winter! You've got to start in on that talk this spring! :D

Is the Cherry Bomb boat for sale? Where is it listed?

Dude! Sweet! 09-06-2007 05:36 PM

It was in the classifieds, but maybe the ad expired. I though I heard that boat was "thouroghly enjoyed" by its previous owners?

Hmmm...Does that mean it was "rode hard and put away wet"? :D

Dude! Sweet! 09-06-2007 06:10 PM

HA! Or not put away at all...

I just recall some negative comments in an older thread where that boat came up. I don't know the boat at all personally.

onesickpantera 09-06-2007 06:23 PM

Ahhh...it was the all white boat with red trim and green on the sunpad? Now it's coming back to me!

berns29scarab 09-06-2007 06:39 PM

moviemonie bought the all white one from NJ that Jerry Memoli had built for himself. i know the boar well and it was nothing less then stunning and ran 85-87 on the button...

Dude! Sweet! 09-06-2007 06:48 PM

Yah I think Cherry Bomb had red trim on the gauges from what I remember.

Bern, not the boat that's in Havasu now. Andy was talking about Cherry Bomb.

I don't know of its still for sale or not. It looks like its in great shape. I remember someone mentioning that it had a lot of hours. I read somewhere it had about 330hrs on 500efi's, which is rebuild time.
