I was out testing the other day and ran into our customer with the twin small blocks ( 6.2 MPI Mercs. ) and snapped a picture. I thought you all would like to see it. He lives in Mexico and visits Miami every few months and enjoys his Pantera 28' with his family.

that boat looks great ! I have been meening to contact you & seen these pics & thought I would just ask you here :
What do you usually set the X-dim at on the twins ? Esp. the small blocks ? & what is the normal prop slip ?

The prop slip on my 28 Small block was Really low !
I have the measurements of of mine & I was curious what you usually set them at since you guys didn't do the rigging on my boat due to it being a re-power.

Jo, i think i've asked you before.
Is there any room to do a short stagger on a twin sbc boat?
Could you squeeze a six pack cockpit? or only a 3man.
With a pair of 500-550hp sbc's w/ XRs, you should have an easy 90mph boat that's very reliable and worrying about the drives.

It can be done with a modification to the rear bulkhead. Back in the early 90s we were planning on building a B-class 28' race boat with full staggered small blocks with bravo 1 drives and even put the drawings together for it. A short stagger would not be a problem since there is plenty of room in the engine compartment with this set up.

If you are going to use small blocks Mast performance builds some 600 hp ls motors and the two together dont even weigh 1200 lbs
