Pat and Jayhawk, why don't you guys go to the SB forum? We all know the SB hull is faster than the Pantera! :D:cool-smiley-011:
Is this an open forum or just for Pantera owners?:violent-smiley-045: There has been a time on two that Pantera owners have posted over at Superboat...:Whatever: |

Nice!
What do you have for props? I suggest you try a 26p B1 or 25p Rev4. With that engine revving 5600rpm, you'll be running 80+. Dave M. has a 496HO in his 1998 24' Super and sees 78mph @ 5000rpm with a 28p B1. Sorry for jumpin on your Pantera thread Rob! There might be some good info from us Super boys though!:D |

I am still running my BBlades labbed 25P Mirage Plus. I tried a 24P Bravo One early this season, and the boat handled awful! Unexpected hard right turn on throttle back. It was dangerous. I'm not sure I'm set up well for a 4 blade. X-Dimension differences maybe?
Sorry for jumpin on your Pantera thread Rob! There might be some good info from us Super boys though!:D I'm not sure why the B1 didn't work for you. Sean ran a 26pB1 on your boat years back. Let's start a thread over at the Superboat Forum. Dave M's boat should be set up the same as yours and he'll have some good input. |

Sounds like Supers reach 80 relatively easy... i.e. </= 550 hp
I saw on the SB thread a mention of chine walk past 80 in there SB 24', is there something I need to be aware of with an '80 Pantera at 75-80 range?? I'm ball-sy but not stupid... You guys that run 80+ in your 24 Pantera's any issues, ...fairly smooth/safe ride in light chop, 1-2'? |

Well my friend, as a former owner of a 24' Pantera and an owner of a 24' Super, I though I might have something of interest to add to this thread.

Pat, I hope you know you know I was kidding around! That's why I threw the :D :cool-smiley-011: in there. I'll take advice or help from anyone, no matter what kind of boat they have.
It's just everytime I think I'm running fast you SB guys always have to rain on my parade! LOL :D I can be a little sensitive from what my wife tells me... As for why a 24' Pantera is a little slower, I'm not sure. They do weight a little more, but not as much as some say. My 1989 Pantera sport was within 100lbs of my 1997 Super. I weighed them both at the same scale on vary similar trailers. |

Can you send pics of the hatch? I'm replacing mine and I like yours. Where do I get one like that? Thanks, Troy BTW, looks fast even on the trailer... |
