I am actually just joking, would have gotten in the boat as 3rd man anytime, but when you asked me to take the wheel, I had to be honest and tell ya to find someone with more experience, these boats are forgiving, but anything can happen. Rick |

A snail boat! Albert you are one seriously funny MF!
High Speed is the most dangerous drug of all. Once you get a taste... When its in your blood, its the most compelling thing I've ever experienced. The most expensive, deadliest drug around. Just ask all the guys who've eaten sh1t trying to get more of it (Campbell, Muncie, Senna, Vukovich, Peroni and on and on and on). I actually found myself a little jealous and angry at the space shuttle crew the last time the flew into CA. They said the approach speed on reentry was 15,000 mph! Oh mama! Come on... Just give me one more taste!! :D :D :D |

Dan, I was privileged to have a legend like Ed Cozzi in the boat with me for one last time. For Ed to be impressed, tells you alot in how this boat has been set up. I could`nt have had it any other way. The best of everything is in there for you to maintain the legacy.

I really don't want to get too involved but my single 525 has only hit around 71.0 with my 24 bravo and 1/4 tank. Dave Santee has a 525 single and has played with the chip and can't get more than 72. With my 26 labbed, from hall's I was about 70.5 but I may have had more fuel than when I had the 24 pitch. I'm really not the best guy to get the top speed, but I didn't buy a Pantera for the speed..the ride is far better than any 28 out there. Ideally a 600 SCI would be the best stock power. Actually a 700SCI with NXT drive would blow the competition away. Seriously, it's all about your pocket book.
The boat is what it's all about. Of course, you could always follow B-stubb and throw in a 900hp single and run around 95+. |

I forgot these yesterday, nothing like a Pantera built tough like a rock.

Congrats to Albert selling the boat. And A BIGGER CONGRATS to Dan who will have a PAPA-offshore ride.
GOOD LUCK! Keep us updated. Yesterday I had some pics of my prev 3man 28 Pantera Race. New owner Pelle just had his new 540/600hp lined in to the boat. My new ride, 28 Arrow (a cousin to Pantera) 572SC-EFI/875hp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm3ZYXPYE84 (I know, very bad trim.... . Last sat.) Happy daze Mange |
Hey Mange sweet looking boat you got there. She looks sharp nice and leveled when you go air.

Dan, good luck with the Mig, it's a great looking boat. |
hi Mange, nice video. Any more pictures of Arrow, and im guessing its an older cousin to Pantera? I see its also a 28 and just curious as to whats the difference between the two, and why you picked the Arrow. Thanks and Happy Boating, Himes

Mange- looked good.

Got home w/ the Mig in time to watch the second half of the AL / FSU game. Can't wait to wake up in the AM to play w/ the new toy!
Albert met me at Pantera and Jo took some time out of his schedule to show me around the factory. They had at least one of each model in production and a sweet little 24 just about rigged out. There's nothing like the the smell of resin and a good cigar (Pepe's). It sounds like there will be some great new products coming out of Pantera soon. The hospitality was just what I needed after a long drive and Linda hooked me up w/ a couple shirts on the way out. After a quick drive to Albert's we crawled around the Mig a bit and I found it to be just as expected (very nice). We traded paper and Albert gave me a hand hooking up the rig for the ride home. Thanks for the smooth transaction Albert and I'll take good care of her! The ride home was smooth and luckly I missed this guy flipping a U-haul. Dan |
Keep us posted on the project DAn.
that U-haul most of been over trimmed:hitfan::D |
