Thanks for the welcome guys! My Donzi has a 500 EFI style motor that dyno'd at 500 HP and 525 Ft Lbs when Precision Marine in New Orleans rebuilt it last winter. I hate to neuter the Mig28 w/ this motor but I think I'm going to drop it in to get on the water quick and run it until I decide what to have Precision Marine build next. I'm in Gulf Breeze just east of Pensacola and the Pantera will be in a lift at the house so there is a standing offer for a ride if anyone is in the area. Albert's been great to deal with and I can tell that letting his baby go has not been an easy decision.

Dan

Very cool Dan. It should be fun to see how it performs w/ that power compared to other 28s out there.
Now we can see what the weight advantage is!

I'm also interested to see how the speed compares to the Donzi 22 Classic. The 22 would run 75 any time and 78 if conditions and load were ideal.

A new "full pleasure" 28' with a 525 EFI does not run 69 MPH. I have seen consistent 72 - 74 MPH on GPS depending on fuel and passenger loads. Depends on who is driving the boat I guess

The Pantera 28' model will soon be running much more speed !!!

Dan, Congratulations on your Pantera 28' purchase. If I can help you with anything for it just let me know.
