Default 28 Sit Down with 300XS

Just wanted to post the rework on my 28. For those of you that follow the boats as they change hands, this is Dustin's old boat. It was sent back to the factory for a facelift.

She now sports twin 300XS, Gaffrig gauges and Zeiger steering.

I just put it in the classified since time has passed and plans have changed.

I already own a 28 with twin 225HO so that may make me the only guy to own two outboard powered 28 Panteras.

Ask Jo for a review on the performance in the sea trial. It is truely a big block killer when finally dialed in.

Here are the before and after pictures.

There has been alot of $$$ and work invested into this 28'.

Powered by brand new twin 300 XS Optimax Mercs. including: Complete Zieger hydraulic race steering with polished race tie bar, new dash, B-Bracket, K-Planes, new dash panels, new compass, new Pirelli rubber flooring, new upholstery, new Livorsi Smart Craft gauges with colored bezels, new cockpit cover, race battery boxes, etc. etc. to much to list.

The engines have less than 1 hour on them. Boat has great acceleration and when broke in the potential for big speed.

Also includes the extended cockpit option.

If anyone has any questions on this boat feel free to call or email me at [email protected] or give Darren a call.

Regards,

Jo

Default Not a fire sale!

I will let Jo speak about the expected performance numbers.

Everything is new and I have well over $80k invested here so I would expect reasonable offers.

This is not a situation of "Must Sell" so if I do not get a good offer then she goes to meet her baby sister in the Caribbean.

Nice boat, make sure to send some pics of them side by side in the islands!

I am actually refreshing 1Z (again!) and putting her up for sale as well. I will keep whichever one does not sell. If they end up side by side, I will post a picture.

In the meanwhile, here is a picture of 1Z's helm. Had a few questions regarding her heritage. She is early eighties vintage in excellent shape and totally old school. Had the look updated with the new wind fairing and helm. Until last week she was all original gelcoat; before I had the deck and cockpit repainted white to freshen her up. Engines are carb 225HO Johnsons pushing 248hp in the high 6k rpm. Bob's lowers with labbed bravo props. Light fuel and the right conditions and she will just crack 70! A perfectly balanced boat for true offshore.

No kidding.

I too would like to know what you are listing it at, not expecting offers.

Very nice job by the way.
