Factory Visit

3 Attachment(s)
I was honored to visit the factory this week! Jo and Pepe were awesome as reputation described them, and very open and accommodating. Great guys and really represent the Pantera difference!

I really liked the lobby with all of the outrageous photos from the rich heritage and racing history that is Pantera. Then to actually hang around with the guys that made that history was totally cool! :D

One of the really cool things was seeing the mold that my 28 (all of our 28's) was built in .... too cool!

Here are some pics ........ arrrrgghh mate' .... did ya say yer needin' a boat ta spank yer buddies with .... weeelllll ya come to the rrrright place!

More Pics!

Here is the 28 mold being modified for the twin step ...... sorry TOP SECRET!

Also how cool is this, a finished external seam on the 36 Raceboat, no rubrail just a smooth connection on the outside makes the boat look like it was built as one solid peice. :cool-smiley-011:

Couple more!

Here is a 28 getting ready for outboards going to a remote spot overseas. Also the blue 36 Survivor .........

Last ones ......

Dash for a new Survivor being built, deck for the monster 41 that looks like it could carry my 28, and my favorite :ernaehrung004:the two legends posing for a pic ......

Thanks Jo & Pepe! you guys rock! :ernaehrung004:

It was a pleasure meeting you Mike. Thank you again for Dinner.

Send you your parts this week.

who left the donuts on the model???:D:D:D

Dude! Sweet! 01-18-2008 08:59 PM

Wow Mike, they must have really liked you! They wouldn't let me take pictures! (I'm kidding, after my red eye flight and an 8am blast in the Mig, I couldn't even find my camera!)

That capped deck on the 35 is pure sex! I love that boat! Come on lottery! :D

There is a 'place' in Portland Maine, in the morning ,where the 'waitresses' serve donuts from sticks from their boobs.
thought you'd like that dude.

Dude! Sweet! 01-18-2008 09:12 PM

Rob, remind me to give you a call next time I come back east!

bouyhunter 01-19-2008 10:48 AM

Does the Pirate have a name??
He has to.
It just wouldn't be right for the pirate to not have a name.

Pepe / JO -
My wife and I are going to be in Miami for the boat show in a few weeks and would love to tour the factory.
I know that you guys are very busy, and I don't want to just barge in.
Would it be possible for you guys to schedule a time for a few of us Pantera owners to tour sometime the Friday before the show?
Maybe make it easier on you if there is a group of us at one time - I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to take a peek while I'm down there.
How 'bout it?

JO - PANTERABOATS 01-19-2008 11:31 AM

What makes you think he does not have a name?
Capt John Manduley it is!
Of course you are all very welcome!
From 8 AM till ??? Monday through Friday and most Saturdays.
Later,
Pepe.

I knew he had to have a name.
Cool, now I have a second alias.:D Igor Hernandiken III, or Capt. John Manduley. Does he already have a S.S. #, or do I need to work that out??:D
I look forward to meeting you on Friday the 15th.
Anyone else want to meet up for breakfast and go?? Maybe that way we won't be too much of an intrusion on daily business if there are a few of us that want to go at the same time.

IRONMAN 01-19-2008 07:54 PM

You are gonna love the tour Bountyhunter. It has been a few years for me but thanks again Jo and Pepe.

Bouy,

I am thinking of taking friday off of work and doing the show, instead of Saturday, if I can get the day off, that sounds like a plan. When are you getting in? Staying in Miami?

Rick

Rick,
I'm getting in sometime Thursday Afternoon.
Staying somewhere in Miami (the wife set up all the details).
All I know is I have to take the dog's to the kennel by 7:00 that morning, and beat feet back home to pick up the wife and make it to the airport for a 9:00 flight.
Not sure what to expect of the hotel - we're kinda doing this mini-vacation on a budget so we don't take too much $$ away from putting the boat back together. Figure we aren't going to be spending much time at the hotel anyway.
Heading back home Sun. morning.
We've never been to Miami, so not sure what to expect or plan for. I'm figuring the show will take an entire day.
PM me your # and I'll give ya call when we get there.
Tim

You guys who have not met the family yet are in for a treat. Pepe, Jo, and Linda made my wife and I feel like we were their number one customers last year....and I'm just a nobody who happens to own an old 24' masterpiece created by Pepe himself! Good People!

Sounds good, what day are you doing the show?? We should have a little Pantera group down ther, me, you, Tom, Mange, I'll PM ya the #.

Rick

Dude! Sweet! 01-21-2008 08:30 PM

Tim's "might" be even older... Although it's registerd as an '80 I think the sticker on the inside of the transom may have said something about 1979... :)

Man, I'm bummed that a work trip to FLA for boat show week fell through...

JO - PANTERABOATS 01-22-2008 09:40 AM

Shawna, You are a customer and that means a lot to us, even if we did not sell you the boat or made $$$ from it.
Thank you,
Pepe.

OL40SVX 01-22-2008 09:56 AM

We'd be interested in going to the factory. We run with 28's and 24's all the time! Awesome boats! We were going to stop in last year but at the last minute was told im going on the boat show Poker Run in a 40 Skater, long story, and had no way of going. Would love to check out the new stuff going on at Pantera!

Sorry for the delayed reply - this one slipped past me.
I was planning on doing the show Sat. and dropping by Pantera on Friday.
Again never been to the show, so if you have a better suggestion, I'm listening.
Sounds like we could have a good little group.

JO - PANTERABOATS 01-26-2008 09:04 PM

Look forward to showing all of you around the factory.

Please remind me a few days ahead of time when you will be visiting. We will be having a very busy week.

JO

Pismo10 01-27-2008 12:10 PM

Me and Ironman had a great tour back in 2004 at the old location.

That sounds good, My Bud cant get Friday off to do the show, so he wants to go Saturday. I may still take Friday off to do the factory tour with y'all, but definitely meet up for the show on Saturday.
