Last pics for now.I will take good pictures and video while testing in the next couple of days.

We attached the blower hose to the dual intake Naca Ducts on the custom engine hatch.

Upholstery is white carbon with blue carbon vinyl accents, blue cup holders, Pirelli rubber non skid flooring, and blue Pantera embroidery. Also installed LED lights in the cockpit liner.

Graphics have a few shades of Blue, Platinum, and Green.

Lets see how this bad boy runs with the twin 496 HO - 425 HP Mercs. It is built to handle extreme punishment out in the ocean.

Well we took this new 36' out this afternoon and on its 1st run and we were very pleased to see 76 MPH on GPS with 3 guys and a 1/2 tank of fuel on board. I ran a pair of stock 26' pitch Bravo 1 4 blade and ran up to 73-74 MPH bumping the limiters at 5150 RPM. Then I put a pair of stock 28' pitch Bravo 1 and spun them at 4750 - 4800 RPM and ran consistent 76 MPH. I think with a pair of labbed 28' pitch Bravo 1 spinning at 5150 RPM and 79-80 MPH are there. Remember these motors are brand new with 2 hours on them so once broken in RPM should increase a bit more.

This is a "true" 36' foot boat with out platform and right around 8300-8500 pounds. Its incredible that we are getting the same performance with these twin 496 HO - 425 Mercs. than our traditional full deep v 28' model with same HP.Our "twin stepped bottom" just works perfect. It turns like a regular deep V and very fast in flat and rough water conditions.

Will try and test some Hydromotive props, and set of labbed 28' Bravo 1 and see if we crack 80 MPH in the next couple of days.

Here are a few pictures from this afternoon. Boat looks awesome in the water.

Here are a few pics. of the cabin and engine room.

Would like to try a staggered Mercruiser 496 HO - 425 HP set up in the near future. A 4-5 MPH increase over the side by side configuration and speeds well into the 80s with stock HP and 5 year warranty.:cool-smiley-011:

JO

Dude! Sweet! 02-06-2008 07:48 PM

Also throttle pod.
I'll call today

bigboat28 02-07-2008 07:40 AM

Nice boat Jo

Stormrider 02-07-2008 08:25 AM

Wow jo, real sharp.
I can't believe how much room is in front of the engines.
With the side/side config, is there anyway to move that bulkhead back for a bit more cockpit space?
I see where you have space for stagger.

joepaws 02-07-2008 09:09 AM

looks good real good i like it alot.

JO - PANTERABOATS 02-07-2008 10:08 AM

The deck was designed to also allow a staggered engine configurations. As a matter of fact on this 36' we moved the dashes forward approximately 3 inches and did changes to the cockpit upholstery to allow for more room between the bolsters and back seat.

Yes, bulkhead can be moved but most of the new 36s that will be built now are going to be staggered for increased performance. We actually have the 1st staggered 36' being built for Rob OSO member that will be powered with much larger HP and speeds well over 100 MPH.

If anyone interested in a new Pantera 36' for Spring delivery we have 1 being put together now for our North East dealer Ducky's boats. Their new 36' will have twin 525 EFI's for power with shorty sportmaster xr drives and custom paint.

JO

Dude! Sweet! 02-07-2008 10:15 AM

Can't wait to see the staggered boat. Will it be a full cabin or "cover girl" type?

JO - PANTERABOATS 02-07-2008 10:19 AM

Hi Sean,

Full cabin but kept simple. We are going for big speed on Rob's new 36'. He will be doing the Poker Run circuit with it.

Regards,

JO

Dude! Sweet! 02-07-2008 10:21 AM

That's great! Hopefully I'll get to see it at Desert Storm, Big Cat or Scope.

I really like the way it "hangs" in the water, deep in the stern and high in the bow!

VERY nice boat!

TexomaPowerboater 02-07-2008 04:14 PM

OOooooooo momma, I guess I better start saving. Congrats on a finish product and congrats to the new owner.

Out of curiosity, If that boat does 100 with 525's. Will it hit 70 with twin 6.2's. I'll take my beatings now.:angry-smiley-038:

lowblue320 02-07-2008 04:30 PM

real nice.....I love the lines on the 36's, you guys do real nice work..................By the way whats kind of numbers did you get with the 498's ?

socalstone 02-07-2008 04:35 PM

Looks great jo.

I'm just 5 numbers and a powerball away from ordering one with twin 700's!!

99fever27 02-07-2008 06:34 PM

wow! That looks bad azz!:cool-smiley-011:

JO - PANTERABOATS 02-07-2008 06:48 PM

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Going to put some labbed 28' pitch 4 blade Bravo 1 props next and try and break the 80 MPH mark with stock power ( 496 HO ).:cool-smiley-011: Turn stock 28 Bravo 1 props at 4800 RPM the other day at 76 MPH on GPS.

The boat has incredible low slip #s for a twin stepped bottom. Calculated today with Brett from BBlades that if this 36 turns 5150 RPM with the labbed 28 pitch 4 blade bravo 1 props it will see over 80 MPH on GPS from a true 36' foot boat without platform. That is incredible speed for this size boat with smaller Mercruiser power.

Then out in the ocean is where it shows what its really made of.
