My wife was egging me on, so I shut him up

Mike , can you let me know what school you sent her to for that one ! Mine loves to ride but when it comes to running hard we have to make a stop at the dock for a drop off...

So a stepped 28, with a single Merc 600SCi, ITS, good prop, could see 85. Nice setup. Would keep the stock XR Bravo too.

First thing I thought of when I read Mikes post- My wife would have made me swear not to hammer it. She would have called for a ride home if she even suspected any horse'n around.
It took a long time before barking 2nd was cool !!

Twin 525 EFI Mercs. 93 - 95 MPH

It all depends on water conditions, temperature, elevation, fuel and passenger load, labbed prop - stock prop , engine torque , and driver.

The newer 28s have been running a few mph faster than the older ones due mainly to the weight savings of new lamination.

Our new "twin stepped" bottom 28' should be atleast 12-14 % faster with equal HP. We will find out soon !!!

i figured i throw in my 2 cents here. i took jo's racing props from his race boat over the weekend because mine got smashed by a forklift driver. anyway, with my s h i t t y driving skills and great water in sanibel i butsed the 91mph mark. just under 92mph when we stopped no one could believe the speed i was getting from stock 525 power and not even staggered. some dude in an outerlimits was pissed he couldnt get me.

Jo, do you have something similar for the 24 SE to include outboards?
