Default Trim Tab Question

For you guys with 24 Panteras, what length tab do you have?

I have 12" Keikkefiers (sp?) electric piston style (looks old school). The piston comes out of the transom to push the tab down. I feel 12" isn't enough and was wondering if a longer one is available for that style I have? It would be nice to just remove one bolt, take off the existing tab and replace with a longer one. Adding a newer longer hydualic K Plane would be a lot of work.

Thoughts?

I had the 150s on my 24. Worked great.
Many like the 280s.
But both are hydraulic.

I THINK the 280s are 18" long and IMO the perfect size for the 24. I don't know anything about the electric tabs but if they make larger versions you could probablt switch out the bottom plates.

The problem is finding 18" bottom plates for the electric setup. If anybody knows where I can get them please let me know.

Elite Marine? Can you find them?

I was just thinking about what kind of plate to screw on the bottom.

Just Bennett Sport tabs, they work OK, but are kinda slow to react, and could be a little longer.

Love Machine, I think they are the same one's that I have. I have 110s K-planes. Not made anymore, the factory told me they were to expensive for their size. I guess people with smaller boats didn't want to spend that much $. Doug
