Unhappy Selling My 24

Yes, I only had it one season and it was a lot of fun. It took everything I threw at it. However, I took the wife out on a poker run and it beat the crap out of her! Also, I can't take our 2 year old out on it. I'll use the procedes to pay off some debt and probably move into a bigger cruiser next year.

I wanted to give you guys first dibs before I place it in the classifieds. You know the boat. The boat's been maintained by Jaws Marine. I put on a new cockpit cover and I replaced the throttle/shifter cables with the teraflex cables.

Boat runs great. $23K firm.

I still love that boat...was headed to GA to look at it when you bought it...Part of me wasnt interested in outboards...but the part of me that has to write checks and deal with breakdowns was. Good luck with the sale...not the best environment...these banks keep crashing we might all be living in tents and eating ramen noodles.

I moved up for the same reason, the 28 was plenty. Cabin is huge.......as big as most 28ft cruisers.

In my fantasy land I would be all over the 36 Pantera. In real world, we do a lot of overnighting. Right now I have my sights on a 40ish cruiserish boat. I'll be turn boat for the races!!!

LM,

Sorry to see you have to sell it, wish I were in a position to buy another. I know what ya mean about the beating, my wife has to cross her arms across her 36DDD's when I get wave happy.

That's a NICE boat. I know what your up against, my wife BARELY tolerates our boat. Why can't you take a 2 yr old on the boat? My kids been on the boat since the beginning.

Haha Dave!

The wife sits in the back seat holding the child, so she really can't hold on to anything. Therefore, she w/baby are always coming out of the seat in heavy chop or big boat wake. She will only come out now when it's glass on the Bay.

How's that 496HO holding up in your Superboat? It's been in there for what now? Four or five years?
