The boat looks great Sean, I need to convince the boss and try to move mine. Will a stock type oil pan fit over the notched transom?

Right now the boat is complete, on the trailer but as I said in the ad, I'd strongly prefer to keep the motor (and motor only) and sell the boat with all marine accessories but without the motor. So ideally, its everything but the long block, carb and iginition (from the Merc plug to the motor).

I have a buddy with a blue 500 EFI motor for sale that could go in it. I guess I'd sell it for $50k with the fresh 650 hp motor that's in it now (again don't really want to though) and could also explore other power options with a purchaser as requested.

Thanks Chris! I really love the boat. It's in great shape, but I don't have time to use it and don't feel right about just letting it sit in storage for the forseeable future...

Heck, if you buy it, I might even be able to do a bit better on the shipping since I'd be able to go home for a bit of a visit if I bring it out to you (then again, maybe me going home requires an additional premium charge! ) Ha ha ha!

A regular large oil pan (like a Stef's or Milodon) won't fit. I have an oil pump and custom notched Stef's pan that I could throw in though. Forgot about that! Thanks for the reminder! The 525 had a stock cast pan and that fit. (Edited this so that it's clear now in both posts!)

Actually, it didn't. Just a stock cast pan. So... I guess I should say that a normal big pan doesn't fit, but a stock pan will.

Jeeze! It's tough getting old!

The stock 525SC 8 qt pan cleared the notch by about 1-1.5 inches.

Good luck with the sale Sean. It was always a great boat.

Mike, don't worry, I'll still be around. I've been a Pantera guy since I was 14 years old, that won't change if I sell my boat!
