I've had a few bad experiences with performance boats and decided to take a break. I got back into "sailboat racing" (I know...oxymoron!!!) and hence the screen name change. Felt silly being known as NORTECH380 without owning a Nortech any longer. The Lightning in my profile is actually a sailboat and not a "beak boat". Just had some insider fun with that...

I've got a flats fishing boat these days with a 250XS that keeps me interested. I'd like to get something else but I lost a good chunk of change on a new boat deposit from some well-known builders in Miami which left a sour taste in my mouth(NOT Pantera).

Hope all is going well.

Fired her up on the hose today. Damn that big block sounds good.

Hasn't been run in 2-3 months and it started right up. Still an outboard guy down deep, but you can't ever get enough of that staight pipe sound, I don't care who you are.

Put gas in it.

Haven't done too much. When I first brought it home, I had a friend of mine do a "once over" on it, and checked the valves. Since then I've changed the oil every 15-20 hours and had the Stainless Marine tail pipes lengthened and made dry until the very end of the pipe (outside the boat).

Nice... i had cut them shorter for steering ram clearance.
Bent a ram on one once... that sucked!

Chris its real similar to mine in the paint job which I think is great - tracks the lines of the boat and shows it off.

Just gonna bring this back to the top since it's now spring time.

Nothing has changed since Oct, other than I've put a few hours on it.

I would like to keep it, but going on 6 months with no job.

It's been in the water 3 times since labor day.

Just throwing back to the top to see if anyone bites.

Here's a few shots of the "important part" from a couple weeks back.
