Are those drives really as expensive to work on as everyone says?

YES, talked to a few people. they are really hard to work on and expensive, and that all depends on if you can even find parts.

Talked to the guy in fall/early winter. good guy have send a few emails, If things go right with stuff on my monday meeting i may be taking a trip to MD.

Keep in mind also these are the same pictures he send me about a year ago. and who knows when he actually took them. also their is some damage on the side of the boat above the rub rail near engine hatch from looks like a dock or something.
