I was in the same situation. Hard to find the boat you want when it is not a baja or something similar. I basically broke my search down to 24 Panteras and also looked at 24 Pythons. I looked at a couple pythons. Python seemed to be a good boat, but really did not compare to the Pantera I ended up with. Also depends where you are, as you will find a lot of pythons in the southeast. Looked at Superboat too, but never got to get in one. From the long list noted, you will most likely find the Panteras, Pythons and super boats. From what I found, You are best to rank them as Pantera, Superboat, Python. Wait for the Pantera, if you can. I am tickled pink with mine!

I'm pretty sure the biggest boat with roots in the 24x7 is 32 Activator (stretched from the 27)

The 24 Cigarette SS and 24 Banana Boat (both 8ft beam) are NOT from the 24x7.

I have only experience from the 24 Pantera, it's the best one and good enough for me (I have own 4 of them)

The 23 Magnum (build 1966 what I have found out, now on a shipyard in UK)

I didn't realize there were so many options out there in that 24x7 size..

I looked into that Sunsation Aggressor and it looks to be even more rare than the Pantera. I also didn't really find having a sink in the cabin necessary and it would probably just get in the way of my feet if I ever tried to lay down in there. lol

I bet that I may find a good many Pythons around my area. I will definitely give one or two a look before I make my decision.

Unfortunately, the wife and I just bought a new house and she'd skin me alive if I bought a boat before putting up a big cedar privacy fence ($$$) around the backyard and buying various other things like those fancy front loading washer and driers. lol

Thanks for all of the ideas. I'll hopefully own a boat by next Summer.

I have a 24' python with a 502cui bravo 1. The boat is amazing in rough stuff on lake erie. I have had it in 3ft+ waves and it does great. Python built a solid boat.

Post Magnum 23 Ultimatum No 500

I saw your remarks about Magnum 23 and I used to own Ultimatum from 1972 to 1974. We finished 5th in the 1973 CTC

Has anyone any photographs of her which I would be willing to buy.
