Another question Jo, can you tell me what size the fuel tank in the floor was in 1988, also what size was the bow tank in my boat?

No, haven't got them off yet.

Back then the standard fuel tanks on the 28' were 120 gallons. My father does not recall installing a bow tank in that 28 of yours but he told me that "it has only been 24 years".Where is the forward tank located ? On race boats we would install an additional 60 gallons up in the front.

I think your going to need more diameter in those props like 16.25 or 16.5.Try to spin them in it might give you a little more bow lift and stop the porpose.

Jo the tank is up in the bow under what is now the v berth, there are two fills on the deck. That tank has been unhooked.

Jo do you think turning the props in would help?

Excalibur, what has to be done on III's to change the prop direction? I can only turn around 4200rpm's now, wouldn't bigger props spin even slower?

What do you have for power and drives?

Jo you happen to get a chance to figure out a price on a fiberglass windscreen?

Artie, thanks for the offer, just might do that. I am just learning on all this stuff now. Where in Granville do you live? We are just down the street from Bakers Acres.

If you want to spin them in you have to switch the drives and they weigh alot . if your only turning 4200 a bigger diameter is going to give you even less rpm.Something dose not make sense if your running 73 at 4200 you must have a 1.36 gear in the drive or your tachs are off. If your tachs are right your going to need like a 22x 16.5.Those motors should spin at least 5000rpm.

How much is alot? Is there any way to find out what gears are in them?
