That's pretty cool looking...

bigboat28 09-27-2010 10:24 AM

Pantera24, thanks for posting them for me. Hopefully I can get some running pics when ever some friends that took pics send some to us. I can't believe the boat did not sell in 3-4 years. It is in really good shape except for the back seat which is completely falling apart, which I have out now. The boat does shine very well for a yellow 88. In those pics i had just waxed the sides once and the deck i had rubbed out once and then waxed. It is in such good shape I am having problems deciding what to do as far as colors, keep original or change them. If we change them I think we will go with yellow, purple and green.

Don't change a thing. Keep it original, it looks great!

Looks good Dale it really shines in the picture as well as in person. My vote is to keep it original.

That's what I'm talking about! Whatever you do don't paint it white or black and paint "eyes" on it. The mid to late 1980s Panteras are the coolest. The the stripe style is the best. If you want to stand out, trust me, that Pantera was meant to be that way for a reason. Very nice.

Buster75 09-28-2010 12:35 PM

That boat looks amazing. Huge improvement from the pics in the ad. I say don't change a thing. It looks like one of a kind that way.

tsp 09-28-2010 08:11 PM

Nice Pantera. Love the yellow.
Whats the orange light on the port side deck?

bigboat28 09-29-2010 11:24 AM

That is a light to repel bugs.

bigboat28 09-29-2010 11:26 AM

Just kidding, that is a plastic lid cap that the previous owner caulked in the front tank fill when he lost the cap. Anyone know where i can get a gas cap lid from an 88 Pantera?

Craney 09-29-2010 07:44 PM

I bought a set from Trick:lolhit: years ago, there white with a little flip deal in the middle so you can turn them.

Craney 09-29-2010 07:47 PM

Going back and looking at your pics, the caps that I have look the same as what you have.

bigboat28 09-29-2010 08:59 PM

Craney, did your new caps screw right into the exisisting fill, or did you change it? Do you have 2 tanks and are you using both of them? What do you have for power? If you have twins do you have any porpoising problems?
Dale

RT930turbo 09-29-2010 11:47 PM

Looks Great! I'll give you a call later this week :drink:

I put all new fills on, I only use the one in the floor in the cockpit, I think it's 110 gal. I have 468s with Trs drives. The only time I have any porpoising is in flat water if I trim out to much.

tman 10-04-2010 04:36 PM

bigboat28 10-04-2010 07:42 PM

Craney, how many hp and how fast is your boat?

Craney 10-05-2010 01:11 PM

The best I've seen is 75 on gps, I think I have 450hp a side.
