That's news to me. I've studied the Pantera for many years and your the first person I've come across write something that inflammatory about a twin engine "ride".

Did they make the 28 Apache in a single from the factory?

Tom, I only know of one Single 28 apache that came from the factory, and it has a 500efi(or 525efi). So its pretty new.
Last untitled, new one has twin 502s... yet to be bought.

I saw a 28 hull only at the factory in November and as Joe says its a big 28.Just curious the 525's have aluminum heads so what is the weight difference between a 525 and a 6.2?I would think its not as much as you think.
Also there is something to be said when you walk up to the door of the factory and the owner opens it then spends an hour talking to you.Try doing that with most of the other boat builders.

I have 28pantera with twin 496 big blocks and it runs great in the rough and in flat calm steady as a rock, as Jo said you dont need a lot of trim at slow speeds . You can make just about any boat porpoise with BAD driver i have been cruisin along at 35-40 smooth as silk and the guy in the boat next to me looks like he wants to jump over the moon . if that was you tex TRIM IN

Correct, and it was a lighter composite boat (no wood).

Its obvious we each think our boats are better than the others or we wouldn't of bought them. We all have our reasons. There are obvious differences between the two boats. The apache is roughly 500lbs heavier, has a 24 degree deadrise at the transom, has a bigger engine bay, a smaller cockpit, more freeboard, more cabin space, and more cabin headroom. Build quality and ride are subjective.
