28' pantera
 

Been looking at other boat lately and the 28' Pantera looks so much longer than Id expect a 28' to look, even on water..
It looks like a 30' boat.. is it just me? The design?
I really like the twin 28'.. is there also a 30'?

thanx[/QUOT yes they do look longer thats because most outher boats made count the bathing platform when it is moulded in to the boat as you no platforms come up at a angle so the boat may be 30 foot but the bit that counts is only 27-28 with the pantera 28 you get 28 off hull in the water apart from beeing well made that is why they can run in the ruff stuff better than boats bigger than themselfs i have seen video of jo@pp kicking butt against boats with more power and more lenth check it out look under panteras raceing in 6/7 foot seas and you will see wot i mean regards paul 2001 28ft twin 496ho ps just working on my free baseball cap jo i no your watching

You won't go wrong with a 28 Pantera. If you want twins, try and go small blocks, I had a 28 with them and it was very well balanced, easier to work on and will save fuel$$.
If you want big block then I would go single.
Trust me you will not go wrong with a Pantera...."try" and find anyone who says that a 28 Pantera is a bad idea.

Actually the only time a 28 pantera would be a bad idea is if ya liked fat chicks, its a little tight in the cockpit, but we like that, keeps the big'ns at the dock:grinser010:

That 04 is sweet! Not sure upgrading for a 25' to 28' would make sense.. I think 30` is the minimum Id wanna go on the next one but the two 28' in the classifieds are petty nice

Just remember not all advertised 30's are a true 30'. Panteras 28 is bigger than most modern day 30 footers. You could however go to a Pantera 36'!! Schwing!

I used to keep my 292 on a lift nosed into a slip I only had three inches from my bow to the dock.My boat is 29.2 but a 28 ft Pantera would not have fit on my lift.Reason is because the running surface starts at the transom not angled in like most boats so there 28 has almost two more feet of running surface than my 29.
Was at the factory last Thurs Pepe gave me a tour the 41 he was working on is HUGE also had a 36 and a 28 that was being built.

My 28 Pantera was 30'2" when you included the swim platform. You are comparing apples to apples when compared to your 25 AT though. A 28 Pantera is about 3 feet longer. I think you have kids too, so keep in mind that your 25 AT is a lot deeper in the cockpit area than a 28 Pantera.
