Mr. Bullet, I seen your boat at the poker run in lake cumberland a couple of weeks ago. It looked real nice. Are you looking for any twin boat or just a Pantera.

88bullet 09-19-2011 02:34 PM

Id Like To Stick With A Pantera. Nothing Beats The Ride Quality In The 28 Foot Class Imo

ziemer 09-19-2011 02:50 PM

That 2002 may still be for sale down here. It's about 30 minutes from me. Never got a chance to go look at it.

88bullet 09-19-2011 02:58 PM

if you dont mind look into that for me. i was looking around online but i cant find it. that was a nice looking boat

Why would you go with twin?

88bullet 09-19-2011 07:06 PM

The boat is a turn key all day long 70 mph boat. And im my opinion thats awsome but im the slowest in my group. On the other hand I was able to boat every day when my friends were in the shop. I could make mine faster but why ruin a reliable boat. I just think twins will go faster and be faster while keeping the reliability. I love my pantera but to throw 10-20k at it to try to hit 90 and run the possibility of having it in the shop more than the water doesn't make sense. If doesn't sell then I live with what I have enjoy it. The g/ f loves the boat which is a huge relief. I want the speed and reliability and the pantera ride quality I think a pr of 600's in a 28 would do the trick

Craney 09-19-2011 10:12 PM

Twin 525s run mid 90s so twin 600s should put you knocking on the C-note.

88bullet 09-20-2011 06:54 AM

high 80's low 90's is where i want to be. so now where are the twin engine 28's for sale??

Funny... I was thinking the same thing.

cig92 09-20-2011 09:06 AM

i was told that lenny c's and vanilla's old 28 ran 92 mph with 465's / 500's. that was a 1993 i believe, cool boat with some nice rigging. anyone know where it went? (spider web on the back corner of a raised hatch, all white with purple interior, lathem marine throttles and shifters.)

When I.asked about this boat last, all the graphics were removed before it was sold to lenny c.

cig92 09-20-2011 09:44 PM

i looked at it prob. 10 years ago and the graphics were gone except for the web on the back

88bullet 09-20-2011 10:11 PM

sweet so its all white?? anyone know its location?

TexomaPowerboater 09-21-2011 09:16 AM

My boat is for sale here on OSO. Not a pantera, but will ride just as good if not better. Doesn't have a hook and has a lot more freeboard and cabin headroom. Has almost brand new 502's carbed and can be easily bumped up to 500hp's with cam change and valve springs.

I checked my voicemail again. Cary called me on Aug 23rd. He had just brought the boat back to his shop, which is in Orlando. Maybe they sold it?

415hp each. Running 72 ish, but should be able to tweek it to mid to upper 70's. I just haven't spent anytime tweeking it with the 2 yr old and pregnant wife always on board. Its a little heavier than the pantera. I've just about got it sold, and may pick up a 21 cigarette OB.

Stormrider 11-02-2011 08:30 AM

The 2002 28 is back for sale.

DAMMIT!!!! I hate having to make decisions.... i really like that boat too!!!

96 pantera 28 for sale!!!

Stormrider 11-02-2011 11:04 AM

Let's see some fresh pics of your 28.

BTW, this 28 is advertising 75mph, just a few above where yours is at.
Not really the 80s-90mph your looking for.

JO - PANTERABOATS 11-02-2011 12:06 PM

That 2002 Pantera 28' twin with the approximate 450 HP motors runs in the 85 MPH range. I spoke to the owner recently. He told me the boat is very clean. I would just call him and verify it.

JO

Griff 11-02-2011 12:07 PM

If it truly has the 425hp a side that is advertised, it should run low 80's. That is what twin 502mpi and 496ho boats run.
