Default flappers wots best

Hi all , looking for some advise .i have a 28 with twin 496ho i have internal exhaust plappers and external plappers ,one of the internal is missing , The 28 sits low at the back with twins. my Q is wot is best in/ ex or both together . thanks for any advise .paul from England

take the internal ones out but keep the external. and dont wave smash in reverse!!!

any of your friends over there looking for a pantera??

External flappers really do very little. They float open when sitting in the water. The only thing they help with is a big wave when the engine is not running.

Thanks for the feed back guys , i think i will stick with both types . i will just buy some interal flappers and weld them in . both types have worked together up to now ..Bullet all my friends would love to buy your boat send it over on the next ship for a sea trial if they like it we will send the $$$ back on the next ship. Bullet every one who has seen my boat or has been out on it loves the boat , times are hard for a lot of people over here right now ,and boat buying is not top of the list of things to get . good luck hunting down a twin , best regards paul

Bullet your boat looks super cool, cant see you haveing any prob selling a good running pantera28 . Are you still going to buy a twin /pantera . if so try giveing pepe or jo a call they may have something for you ,or know wots about ? just wondering how much are you paying for gas in NY , it hasnt gon down here still about $9 a gallon .

Hi Paul,

You can call Letty or Jerry at Stainless Marine at 305-681-7893 and they will have 4" exhaust tips for your 28' in stock with internal and external flappers.

4 bucks a gallon here in buffalo. closer to 5 on the waterfront. i found my new twin... mine just has to go... hope there will be a "dragging it home" part 2 soon!!!
