Good choice on XT, they did my interior a year ago and it is very nice.

I think I can see the ridge that curves. If you are interested, I can send you my pics to compare, have to do that by e mail though.

Got a coat of catalized enamel in the bilge. It's as hard as a rock! Started to sand it back for the final finish coat.

Block sanded the bottom all week long after work. It had several ripples and a slight hook on one side near the transom. Filled all the gouges and shot the waxe gel on the starboard side this morning.

I'll finish sand the waxed gel this week and shoot it with a finish coat of gel/durtec.

Then, back on the trailer for final blocking and PAINT.

Hello Jaime. Black sides, white deck and bottom. It will be shot in ppg dcc concept single stage.

I really like what she'll look like (post #100) after she's painted......................ppg concept is good even below the waterline?

vintage chromoly 09-02-2013 08:35 AM

Me too skippy. That picture is the inspiration for my color choice. I wrestled wih changing it because I was unsure if changing up the color was not keeping with the history of the hull. After much thought, I decided to paint it like the #1 hull.

The bottom will be gelcoat but I have used concept on the bottom of a trailered boat. I painted my little searay in 2003 with concept (including the running surface below the hard chines) and it had held up great.

I'll be done with the rotisserie in a couple weeks if you are still interested in driving to come get it. FYI, I drove from Long Island to my place in 8 hours.
