Great job. Looks so nice. This may be on my to do list.
|
It warmed up enough the last couple days to spend a bit of time in the barn.
I'm installing a classic style teak deck in the cockpit. I bought the teak already milled to 3/8 by 2" by 6' long. It has good consistency and is "quarter sawn" so the grain runs nicely. I made cardboard templates for the corners as they are curved and will require some detailed fitment. I'll be using an epoxy mixed with graphite powder to bed the planks but I'm in the dry fitment stage as of now. Here's a couple pics of the start: http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b...psbfp5jpgq.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b...psbfp5jpgq.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b...pskpvursid.jpg |

Curious why not use the TDS system and save the hassle of mixing ? http://www.teakdecking.com/index.php...red&Itemid=107 I'm just using a thickened epoxy mixed with graphite powder to blacken it. |
