Also, I agree that CM rigging has come a very long ways... no bashing here. |
I have to agree w/fast fun 2 and ndaniels on this one. If anyone believes that larger production boat builders such as Checkmate and others can't rig boats, you are fooling yourselves. Checkmate has been around quite some time...I think they have more than enough quilified people and experience. Just throwing that out there.

My buddy has a 1996 253 and it seems to be a great boat. They take some power to move but they are a HUGE 25 footer.

While CM's gel and glass work is VERY good, I've cleaned up the rigging in a 2009 230ZT, and totally rewired a deck off restoration project. My bro-in-law also just purchased a left over 09 260 and we'll be doing a LOT of looming and tying of electrical on it as well. I've yet to see one where all wiring was loomed properly if at all (including bare wires running across the bilge to deck cyl for anyting to catch on)
I've always scrathed my head wondering why looming and wire ties are to expensive to use in them. They certainly deserve better IMO and hopefully DS cleans it up since buying it. |

Compared to A LOT of other big name (production and custom) builders, CM rigging is better

I do know Adam put a short staggered on the engine's and his rigging was very nice.

Basically I was contracted by Checkmate to design the electrical system and rig the vessel.
