It was actually less....
This seller needs to step away from the crack pipe. |
How do you guys know it sold in the $80 range? That seems crazy low.

That boat sold new for less than the current asking price! Hideaway ordered it and it came in less than perfect which is why it was later shot with that terrible graphic (to cover up the rough gel coat, you could see the fabric pattern in the hullsides).
It was run hard after Hideaway sold it and once got the headers so hot it melted the underside of the hatch! I am pretty sure that is the first 36 Pantera built as well. |
Jo told me that he built it for a on line poker player that wanted a high end toy to blow his money on .
If I remember correctly it was the guys first go fast boat . |

The boat was repoed and was purchased by Hawkeye Marine. Hawkeye had the engines rebuilt and went through everything on the boat. hawkeye may have bought it in the 80k range, but it needed some $$ thrown at it. I think they had it listed for around 140k after they went through it.
They sold it to a super nice guy named Gino from Iowa and he has owned it for I think 3 seasons now. He frequents LOTO with the boat. The boat is in very good shape. Also, the boat is blue gel, but did not look good originally. The entire outside of the boat was sanded and repainted with blue the same color as the gel and the graphics were added. The graphics do look better in person than in pics. |
Nice boat! Looks pretty tight in the cockpit though.
|
This is the 2nd 36 built.
The first one was the white 6pack, that went over to europe to race. |

Then Ducky's has grey and orange one...probably #5 and maybe another? Has to be 5-6 built to date that I've seen.

It's the first 36 Pantera Survivor. All white 6 pack. Now with new decor. It's a non-step boat. If my memory serves me correct it's 900's on Bravo XR's. http://www.panteraboats.com/raceboat...owboat_pg1.htm Then the all black 35 cut down, 2003/2004 525EFI's Maybe it's the plug/prototyp for the 36's boats? Pepe and JO got the right info :) Great looking boats all of them :) //Mange |
The white 6pack is the same one that ended up being raced overseas, yellow and blue. I don't think it had 6s either.

Well there you have it. Love the 36s too!

Was that one at Ducky's rigged by Checkmate? Fans on the Checkmate website have been buzzing for years about a new 36 ft checkmate. Then it was learned it was actually a Pantera hull being built for Ducky's that would be rigged by Checkmate. Am I mistaken? Anybody know the details?

i believe you are correct . checkmate rigged the boat. also it's a staggerd setup :)
we all talk about Panteras outstanding rigging and to have production boat builder like Checkmate rigg one of their boats makes no sense..IMHO |
