not sure but i would think mid to upper 70's all day . i have herd that the ho boat's with that extra 50 hp each are running low 80's and i don't think 50 hp a side is that much more power for that size boat .
mike regards paul |
He told me it has seen in the 60's but never really let it streatch its legs or cared to see what it had top end. Sharp looking boat for sure
|
Math says mid to upper 60s. Might be able to spool 26s though.
|
With the twin 496 Mag ( 375 HP ) on the non stepped 28' back then speeds were approximately 76-78 MPH on GPS and with the 496 HO - 425 HO 81-82 MPH.

JO he run's the boat in the bay mostly and just cruise's in the 40 to 50 mph zone , he's not a speed demon like most of us on here :) with those prop's he has better acceleration and mid range punch , there not for any top end #'s since he could care less about top speed . you have to set up any boat for the way you drive it . mike |
Very nice, wish I could get mine sold I'd seriously be interested in that one.
|
Look like it"s gonna need a few bucks put into it.

have you seen it any time recently ? and if so what doe's it need ? thank's mike |
It should have external steering.
|
...there we go! i was waiting for this all to begin.
im sure it will "need a few bucks put in to it", IF YOU OWNED IT, to make it however YOU want it to be. Yes, "it SHOULD have external steering", let me NOT explain why IT DOESN'T. the fact is that, the boat is COMPLETE, it runs, good, and it is being sold, from a PRIVATE OWNER, what anyone does with it once title is transferred under their name, does not matter or mean anything to me. for the time being, it is what it is, the boat still belongs to me, i have no plans to make it as you desire, sorry anyone with offers, the appropriate funds, and interest can take proper steps to get more 411 etcetcetc |
well put.. very nice boat got any pics of the interior, engine bay?

No big deal... its like $3000-4000 to get that done. And thats peanuts when looking at the whole picture of boat ownership. The boat looks real nice in the pics posted. Good luck w/ the sale... it is reasonably priced. |
Your boat does loook good. I really like the water it is floating in in the pic, it looks sweet.
Tim, you better get that steering put on your boat. LOL |

Those are not peanuts Storm. Add on $10-15K for new cabin upholstery and trailer. Then theres the 496 mags.......... With what looks like original exhaust. Since there's no hydraulic steering the gimbal rings could be week and will need to be thoroughly checked out........

20 bucks says the pantera sells before the apache

|
At least the pantera doesnt need arrows painted on the side to show you what direction to go:evilb:

I agree. There are two threads here where people can voice their negativity all they want. But then you have people picking apart boats for sale on other threads. WTF?
