With the transom 2.75" you've lost .5" of input shaft engagement engagement. =Don't aske me how I know...had this issue years ago with a TRS boat. stripped out the splines in short time...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but check the engagement. I had extended spline shafts made.

1.Cut the hole using this handy jig. Went conservative @ 17” X.
Decided to keep it a bit lower, may sacrifice a couple mph, but dont want the prop blowing out in a hard corner racing etc.....

2. Once the holes cut, put some resin in to preserve the hole.

Ordering imco system from teauge, rams mount 6.75” off gimbal
