Bought a 24 pantera...i think.
A friend of mine lead me onto a 24 pantera forsale in MA. Went and took a look at it today and put a deposit on it. After getting back home i decided to research it a bit. Come to find out, there was a thread on here last year about it. It has a alum HIN tag on the transom. I was stupid and didnt get the numbers but my concern is that some people on here were saying it may not be a pantera. The guy wanted 4500 last year and we just agreed on 1400 with trailer. Any info would be awesome!

It does look like a Pantera. What year? Looks like late 70s. The window does look a little big, however. The rails on the side are notched like my 89 are.

The guy said its a 79. The HIN tag was made of alum and couldnt really read it. Going to pick it up next weekend. I'll know some more info then. Whats the best power for the boat? I have a 420hp bbc and a TRS drive. Dont know a whole lot about the pantera's. So any info would help. I've been researching it for awhile, just trying to figure out whats best.

Nice find, a great boat to work with as it is the SE with better cabin access. Best power is any 502 or 509 inch motor in my opinion. The cutout is for an Alpha so it would be best to just drill the 2 extra holes and go with a Bravo setup and use your 420 BBC to start with
Good luck with it
