Engine Hatch lifting shocks

Im tired of lifting my hatch and using a broom handle to hold the hatch up. Any have a good recommendation on which ones would work for me. Ill need the mounting brakes also. Its a 28 thanks for the help.

check the swap shop sometimes there are hatch lifts in there. also ive seen a trim ram from a alpha outdrive and a trim pump used. it actually works extremely well and is fast!!

I got the idea from a picture I saw from the 6 pack. I would rather just go with the lift shock. I would rather go with the shocks as that would be one less thing to go wrong.

mine is a super light hatch. those wont work on a traditional hatch. you have a light weight blower hatch on yours too right?

then just get yourself some struts. just dont get ones with too high of pressure cus it will bow the hatch when its closed. looking on ebay it seems they rate them by weight.

Couldn't be happier. No major problems, just things to be expected from 20 year old boat. Pulled the motors out last weekend to clean the bildge up and put a tee in the water pick up hose so I can run it on the hose with out having to pull the sea strainers apart. Actually spoke with the previous owner earlier today so i could get the build sheets for the motors. Im not big on the wild paint jobs, i like the clean and classic looks also. Did you get to boat with either of your new boats very much this year?
