I am looking to purchase a reasonable 24 pantera before the summer starts. I have always loved the panteras and was looking at buying one and started posting on here 2 years ago but I hadn't gotten rid of my boat yet at that time. So if anyone knows anyone getting rid of or one that is for sale, here is my criteria. I would am looking for a turn key or close to turn key boat. My price rage is about 15k, give or take a few thousand in either direction. I would also prefer an SE if possible. I am located in Md and I am open to boats on the east coast. I am a cash buyer!!

Matt-
Check out Syracuse CraigsList- there is/ was a 1990 24 Sport w/ a BB and Bravo that needs the interior redone (all there though). I do not know the owner but spoke to him and he seems like a good guy. He did say there was a lot of interest (so it may have sold by now) and that one potential buyer put a moisture meter to it and found it to be dry- for whatever that's worth. He was asking $8500. If indeed solid, seems like a good buy.

Really nice 24 carrera on Boston cl & may still be listed on this site in the classifieds too.
$17 boat is very clean , well kept, hooked up, and turn key. I don't think you'll find a pantera as clean as this boat for the same $ with the same options. Hp500, xr, nice paint, almost new trailer.

Thanks for the reply guys, I am really just interested in a Pantera at this point and I am only interested in the 5 person cockpit, not one with the front 3 bench seating or any type of race set up. There is one located on the eastern shore in Maryland on powerboat listings but he is asking 17k and I am probably willing to pay 20k for a boat but that one seems a little high, I seem to remember that boat on ebay a few months ago and I wasn't crazy about how the exhaust had been plugged up on the transom. There is a really nice 92 24 pantera I saw on boatguideweb.com for 22k but I think its in canada... Im not sure I want to deal with buying a boat out of the country or if that is even a US currency price.
I also saw the two 24 panteras up north the one that needed the interior, and one that was just pulled out of storage. I would be really afraid of rot on that one that had the interior issues, it looks like it has been sitting out for a long time open to the elements.

I would look for one that is newer than 1990 or has had transom stringers done the late 70s boats or early 80s are all going to be wet by this point. I noticed the one on cape cod has a different color gel oat on the transom mayb it was replaced, that boat is small block alpha though
