thanks, it has been great fun bringing it back to life. as ever we were surprised at what got thrown away each time we looked closer at things. this week was the turn of the trim tab system that hit the bin and a new Bennets has been installed. i think to date the only three items left are the carb, the power steering pump and the leg.
the cost has spiraled from the budget and we currently 50% over. ouch.

ha ha you are not kidding either. we have done boating then a few times more than we thought that's for sure.
i guess when buying something this old that can happen but the history of this boat was too much to ignore that friends had owned it for about 20 years of its life and then put out to die in a way. well pretty soon she will be very much back to life. its like xmas as a kid again.

As Russ mentioned, we have installed a new Bennetts Trim Tab system. The instructions say to keep the hydraulic pipes the same length. If we do this there will be a large amount of untidy pipe on the port side. Has anyone any comments or thoughts on having two different lengths? After all, we have brake pipes on cars of different lengths. Tabs are obviously controlled independently, so how important is it to keep them the same length.
