Pantera Pics from the early days

Thanks again for the video but i think you now owe me a DVD player!!! Its probably worn out with all the rewinding, slow motion and pausing I put it thru last night!!!
Cool how little this boat has changed from '95. Only thing is the floor seems much lower in the vid than now. These guys look tucked in there good, now it barely comes up to my waist and I'm only 5'9. Same paint, same hardware, same dash. 15 years later its probably time for a makeover and update!

Not to many pictures of the 1st canopied race boat ever built. This picture was taken at Ft. Apache Marina in 1986 or 1987.

That 28' factory race boat was powered by twin 550-600 HP small blocks built by United Racing engines with # 2 speedmaster drives.Back then it would run right around 90 MPH. The boat was so far ahead of its time. Had sit down Recaro seats with 5 point harness.
I will see in the coming days if I can scan some more old pics. and keep this thread going with more history of Pantera.

nice pics JO. What happened to the canopy boat, is it still around somewhere? The other day while cleaning the boat i was wondering how your family came up with the name, "PANTERA". Man I love it, think now im going to make a stinsle like Bouy did and paint green eyes everywhere.
