Nice 28 single engine powerplay on c.l. boston.
I know its not a pantera but its just as good of quality i think. Boat has all the right hardware and a well known history by former owners on this site. |
That's a nice powerplay
|

I haven't, so far I have found a trashed 94 in Florida with no title , two on east coast one is 98 on is 99, those are the three contenders so far. I really wish the f1 boat was an all black boat with full interior and cabin.

Xt in ohio gave me a rough guesstimate of 6-7k for cockpit interior only.... That's starting from scratch and building two bolsters and a rear bench. Don't get me wrong I love the look of the f1 and the seating but for a family of four and all our boating stuff even the 24 with a cabin is tight.

At least with his, you know that the hardware is all there and done right. Interior is cosmetic, and for the money I don't think you'd go wrong. |
I had XT give me a quite on seats too. I was going to have a copy of the white F1 done. He gave me a quote of 2500-3k. I told him everything would be simple as can be.
http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/x...pscmhzdxxr.jpg I was planning on adding a drop out lower set to the front seat too. When rob had the boat he said the boat has way more room with this setup. Then the cabin can be made just like this. Only thing is you would need to duck under the dash to enter the cabin. http://i359.photobucket.com/albums/o...psda440c28.jpg |
Maybe you should have bought mine. But you can't get a real full cabin w/ a race dashboard... mine was as close as possible.

Yep... it's back on Lake St Clair now.
|
Well the search is over, I bought a all black 28 with a single 650 and an extension box. It's the crazy palm tree paint job that had a pic hanging on the wall in the office at Pantera. Turns out it was only hour and half away from home. Thanks to everyone who sent me ads.

I'm pretty sure the 28 you bought was not actually rigged by Pantera. There were some old threads about it when it for sale 10+ years ago. |
It was not rigged by pantera, the story I got was jo was building for himself and sold it to a guy in Peoria before it was finished. I know they did not like selling boats that way because I tried getting a diy 28. Jo and Pepe would only sell me a fully rigged minus motor drive transom. I think it was still going to be 75 or 80k I didn't have it so.... I bought my 24. I'm going to look for the threads on it thanks
|
Congrats, post some pics. If it's the boat I am thinking, I liked it.

It has a bravo one x, found the old thread from 2004 Jo was building for himself. He also noted about the sloppy rigging job. I wish the factory was still open, I could use a few parts but I will make due. I am hoping to get the boat to the level it should be. I know they were not happy as they wouldn't sell me a blank one, I'm happy I got a 28.
|
What town was it in??
Where are you at in Illinois? I'm in Shipman IL, and do my boating at LOTO. |
Post pictures. I loved that boat. I thought it was wrecked. But maybe that was the white one with palm tree. Where did you find it?
|
I still have the power boat magazine with the Wright up and performance figures for the Palm tree boat .

Yep that's the twin to my boat , I saw the pics after the white one came off the trailer. I'm very curious if it got fixed and if it kept the paint job. I woulda said your crazy for painting a boat like that but it looks awesome in person. I will try to get ahold of Pepe, I got a preliminary shopping list
|
Shhh...!! Keep quiet on the 28 Powerplay in Boston damnit! As soon as my Scarab sells it's mine! Lol
|
The powerplay is bad ass, so is the Pantera 28 twin in Annapolis. That 28 Pantera Owner was really nice but we just weren't able to get it done this year and one popped up close to me so I went for it. Someone will get a cool ride in the spring.

Very nice, love it.

Kinda funny I never ran into him before, I had heard about the boat a few times while I was in my 24 but never saw it in person.
