Question Is the 28' an original design?

Is the 28' an original design, a splash from another hull, or was this from a mold purchased by Pantera? Just very curious.
Thanks!

I believe it was designed by Harry Schoel for Pantera.

JGB,
Thanks for your input. I'm restoring an old-1967 28' Magnum Race Boat which was designed by Harry Schoel. The strakes appear to be identicle to the 28' Pantera that I race. Although the deck is different, the hulls appear to be the same. I was hoping Joe would respond to this.

Bruce,
I'm not going to New Orleans, but I wish you good luck down there!
I should have the Magnum done for next year and look foward to battling you and Todd in P5!
I'm probably throttling for Todd in Key West, but it isnt confirmed yet.
Safe Racing!!!

PS: P5 looks like its going to be a competitive class next year
Should be almost as exciting as F-1, if not more.

Hey Guys,

Our 28 bottom was designed by Mr. Harry Shoell and he also designed the Magnum. The biggest diffrence is the freeboard between both boats.

They are still great running boats!!

Construction methods, and set up are the most important.

Regards, JO

Thanks Jo, Am I to assume the pantera has the higher freeboard? That would be my guess.

Thanks,

james
