Jo-?'s for you
Jo,
Are you familiar with either of these boat? They are both down in your neck of the woods. I don't like to bug sellers unless I'm ready to buy. So I though I'd see if you have see either of them resently.
Also, I know you explained the difference between a 24 sport and 24 SE. I was wondering which model had a bigger v-berth bed? I understand the cuddy is bigger in a SE but I just need a bed and wondered if one was bigger.

Thanks Brian

Hi Brian,
The 1985 24 Sport is owned by Angel the moderator of the Pantera section on this board.I would email him directly. It is structurely sound. He is a great guy to talk to and very helpful.
The other is a 1981 that I just saw this weekend powered with a 600-650 HP big block and TRS drive.I saw it from a distance this weekend (Boat to Boat) but looked clean for an 81 model. The motor sounds strong. This boat was for sale at a Marina in Ft. Lauderdale and sold a few weeks ago.A friend of mine has the boat now and is doing a new 3 man bolster for it.It was originally a race boat so it does not have a cabin or back seat.It has the rear bulkhead moved forward with a long engine compartment. It suppose to run 82 MPH.
The SE model does offer more room in the cabin and more pleasure friendly. The V-berth is the same length in both models approximately 6 1/2 feet.
I hope this answer your questions.

Jo you are the best!!!
Is" Angel" "pantera24" then. I really like that boat. But the motor/engine combo really doesn't appeal to me. What can you tell me about the 280 penta drive.
I definatly want a pleasure vertion so.
I don't think I'm gonna be to fussy them. As long as i have a bed I'll be happy

280 OK
The 280 is a great drive, Merc basically copied the cone clutch when they designed the bravo. It can handle a mild big block(to about 425hp) if properly cared for and not abused. Good luck.

Hey Brian,
I have a 24' Pantera for sale that has been totally refurbished. I have pics available and can email you if your interested. But basically a white bottom with red freeboard and a white top. It has red interior with red 3man bolsters in the rear. Also a custom 454 EFI w/ 420 HP and 460 Torque. It has a rebuilt TRS tranny and outdrive and runs 68mph. Email me at [email protected] for "?"
