Albert...800 HP???? detuned ???? WOW!!!

that will put you into the high 90s. thats P-2. We picked up 3 MPH by dropping the drive 2 inches deeper. Now we work backwards taking off 1/2" at a time.

BRUCE,I DOUBT THE I WILL RACE WITH BLOWER MOTOR ON A BRAVO DRIVE FOR 45 + MINUTES,I WILL GET MY 540 READY AND THAT WILL BE MY RACE MOTOR.THE 540 HAS BULLET PROOF PARTS IN IT ALL JESEL VALVE TRAIN OLIVER RODS AND CROWER CRANK.THE DRIVE HEIGHT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THESE BOATS,I`M IMPRESSED WITH MY NOTCH IN THE TRANSOM,I HAVE NO SLIP BEING 20 INCHES AT ALL.BECAUSE OF THIS NOTCH I `VE HAD TO MODIFY MY DOOLEY 14 QUART OIL PAN BEACUSE I ONLY HAD 9 INCH CLEARANCE WITH GILL AND MY DOOLEY PAN HAS 11 INCHES CLEARANCES.I FOUND THAT OUT YESTERDAY,IT IS HARD TO FIND A 4.750 STROKE OIL PAN BEING 8-1/2 INCHES TALL.
I`M TAKING MY 14 DOOLEY TODAY TO MY BODIES MACHINE SHOP TO TRY TO MODIFY THE REAR OF THE PAN.ALWAYS A PROJECT IN HIGH PERFORMANCE.BRUCE I`M SELLING MY 24 IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE INTRESTED,THIS BOAT CAN RUN P5 EASY WITH A 502.

Thanks alot guys...I was tickled pink to finally finish a race. We were lucky enough to get out in front at the start. Otherwise, the bigger, heavier boats may have prevailed. But I doubt it.

thanks again
