Default 28' Insurance costs?

Guys, who are you insuring with and at what price? I was just quoted $2100 on a 2001 28 with single HP500, agreed value of 82k.

I was expecting a better number- am I naive? I used to think my Daytona was expensive to insure until now (same company by the way).

A repost from another thread on Single insurance:::

Well you made me look at my policy and it states:

We will pay the cost of repair or replacement at the time of loss, with out deduction for depreciation, subject to the following:
(1) We will pay the cost of repair or replacement but not exceeding the smallest of the following amounts:

(a) replacement cost at the time of loss
(b) the full repair cost
(c) any applicable special limit of liability; or
(d) any applicable limit of liability

(2) Loss to property not repaired of replaced within one year will be settled on an actual cash value basis. This means there may be deduction for depreciation.

We will pay the coverage A limit ($97,000) shown in the declarations for the described boats and motors if all described items are a total loss as a result of a since insured loss. We will also pay the coverage A limit shown in the declarations for a boat trailer if the loss is the result of the same insured loss. The policy deductible does not apply to these total losses.

I was wrong on the premium it is $801, I was thinking of my car. Anywho it's listed as insured for $97K, $7 trailer and $500K liability. They spelled Pantera wrong and but have the length of 28 feet right and the HP listed as 550. $1k deductable.

Cattitude, hope you get a Pantera.

My insurance rate

'99 28, Twin 502MPI, Trailer, FLORIDA, 12 month use, 70k agreed value $2800/yr. with Progressive.
That was the best quote I could get. Some wanted 6 g's!
I have a friend with a 26 Sonic, single 502, upper Chesapeake Bay, who only pays $750/yr!

You gettin' that boat????
