How about a cut down version?
Or maybe a diesel w/ surface drive?

I'd have to go with a single diesel inboard with a center console or....let's try an open bow. Yeah, maybe an open bow!!

Talking

An Open Bow Pantera would be cool. A small cabin of 5 feet leading to an open bow with seating. I really could visualize this..I could see my little Bischon holding onto the Bow cleat while the wind blows swiftly thru his hair...Hell, whom I kidding..how about a buxom blonde, well tanned, in a thong...YEAH!!!

Now that's a Pantera owner's reality!!

Is it an Open Bow Pantera?

Thumbs up No Inside Info

Hey Guys:

Didn't have any inside info but it just made great logical sense. We've seen Center consoles, stepped hulls, notched transoms, etc.. but no Open Bows,,

Just a good guess. Should be real cool!!

Excellent work FT 525.....you're the grand prize winner. The open bow makes sense here because, though it might be a bit dangerous on the ocean riding up front, we will be using the boat mostly on the big lakes on the Colorado river. The swells there aren't generally as big as the ocean which allows us to put the kids up front. They will enjoy the wind in their hair, the thong wearing blondes can hang out with the dads in the cockpit and enjoy a little adult activity without compromising behavior too much because the children are in the immediate vicinity. Just haven't figured out yet what the wives are going to do while were all out in the boat..... :-).

Jaime, Several months ago I read a thread on OSO about the best 28'(or so) rough water boat. A lot of good things were said about the Pantera. I was looking for a boat in that length. I will be using the boat in the ocean from time to time and since I will have my family with me my biggest concern is our safety. Since Pantera makes arguably the best rough water boat(safest if conditions turn rough) in this length, the decision was simple. I looked at Lavey Craft, Eliminator, Warlock, DCB, Howard, Hallett, etc. None seemed to me to be as ocean oriented as the Pantera(they seem to me to be lake boats first, then ocean usable). I did go to San Diego to ride in Steve's '95 28'. The boat was very impressive. Someone will(already have?) get a very nice boat with that one. I just decided to go new and I wanted the capability to carry more passengers exposed to the open air. I contacted Jo. He was excited to build one. He was very responsive re my inquiries. The rest is history in the making. Do you have one on order? Tab
